Most of the sidewalk renovation project is near completion, at least for the section on the north side of Main from Hord Street east to Pomeroy and on the south side from Veterans Park east to the merchants parking lot, including new "bleacher-style" steps leading from the merchants lot to street-level.

New concrete, brick inlay, handrails and vintage lighting has been installed. The addition of vintage trash recepticles and seating benches remain and should be installed by the fall of 2011.

Additional work has been completed near the Veterans Park to improve access for the disabled.

Work continues on the north side of Main from Hord Street towards Landsdown.

Plans are to continue to revitalize the sidewalks from the merchants parking lot on the south side of Main Street to Carol Malone Blvd and the north side of Main from Pomeroy to Carol Malone.
